Support
How can I help?
Recetat e Irisit is built and supported by one person — me, Endrit. Emails land in my actual inbox, not a ticket queue. I usually reply within two working days.
Frequently asked questions
Importing recipes
How do I save a recipe from Instagram?
On any Instagram post or reel, tap the share arrow → Share to… → Recetat e Irisit. The first time, you may need to scroll the app row to the end, tap More → Edit, and enable the app. You can also copy a post link and use Paste Instagram link inside the app, or paste the caption text itself.
Why did my import end up as a draft?
Two common reasons: the post is private or deleted (so its caption can't be read), or your device doesn't support Apple Intelligence. Either way the original text is saved as a draft — open it to edit by hand, or tap Retry structuring after copying the caption from Instagram.
The recipe looks cut off. What happened?
Instagram sometimes truncates long captions at about 2,000 characters. The app flags these recipes and offers Add missing text — copy the rest of the caption from Instagram and paste it in.
Automatic structuring
What do I need for automatic structuring to work?
An iPhone with Apple Intelligence — iPhone 15 Pro or newer, running iOS 26, with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. Everything runs on the device itself; no recipe text is sent to any server. On other devices the app still works fully — imports are saved as editable drafts.
Which caption languages are supported?
Automatic extraction currently targets English captions. Captions in other languages are kept as drafts you can structure by hand. Support for more languages is planned as Apple Intelligence grows.
Pantry & shopping
What does "2/3 at home" on a recipe mean?
Of the three ingredients the recipe needs, two are ticked in your pantry. A full ring means you can cook it right now. Tap Add missing to shopping list to queue the rest.
I bought something — why is it in my pantry now?
That's intentional: when you mark a shopping item as bought, it's ticked as "at home" so recipes immediately reflect it. If you only want to check it off without adding it to the pantry, choose Just check it off instead.
Why can't I delete some pantry ingredients?
Ingredients used by saved recipes can't be deleted (the recipes would lose their link) — untick them instead. Ingredients no recipe uses can be swiped away freely.
Language, sync & data
How do I switch the app to Albanian?
Settings (gear icon, top-left of Recipes) → Language → Shqip. The change applies instantly — no restart needed. The same switch takes you back to English.
Are my recipes backed up?
Yes — if you're signed into iCloud, recipes sync privately through your own iCloud account and restore automatically on a new device. There is no Bimbli server and no account to create.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the app to remove everything on the device. To also remove the iCloud copy: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Recetat e Irisit → Delete Data.
